I have learned many things from the survey and the published article. One thing I learned is that teenagers are pressured to have sex from books. That was really interesting because I didn't really believe that you could get pressured from that. I would change my initial question to not have the part about wether or not that guys are pressured to have sex more than girls. That part of the question was kind of hard to answer.

Based on the findings from the survey and the article you can conculude that a lot of teenagers are pressured to have sex. Reading this you should know that teenagers are pressured to have sex from many different people including family, friends, and other people said that it was other stuff that made them feel pressured. My research question only got answered partly.

I think that things should change. Teenagers should not have to deal with the pressure of sex yet. This could change in many ways. Teenagers could stop spreading rumors around about other people and
guys could also stop bragging about themselves.

118 people took this survey. 48 guys took this and so did 70 girls. A lot of different races took this survey so it is racially and gender diverse. Forty-two people said that their friends has pressured or influenced them to have sex. Only 5 people said that it was their family that pressured them. 31 people said it was t.v. ,and another 14 said it was books that pressured them to have sex. 65 people said they had not even been pressured to have sex before.

In a publicized article by USA TODAY there were some really good facts and statistics. Here are some of them: Out of 1,200 teenage guys 45% said that they were virgins, 23% had claimed that they had had sex when they had not,78% of them said that their was a lot of pressure to have sex. A guy even came out and said that " some guys lie about having had sex to appear like they're the man and they have some type of clout and they're a player." Jayson, Sharon. "The truth about sex: Teen boys lie about it." USA today [New york] 26 Jan. 2010, sec. Life: 5. Print.

I believe that guys get pressured into having sex. I chose this topic because I know a lot of guys who have been pressured to have sex guys who were pressured into having sex. I hope to learn who pressures them and what percent of guys lie about having had sex.
